Dr. Zhiyuan (Terry) Liu is a Professor in the School of Transportation at Southeast University in Nanjing China. He is the awardee of the 1000 Talent Program (Youth Program) in 2015. He attained his Ph.D degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) in Transportation Engineering in 2011. Prior to his studies in Singapore, he has obtained a Bachelor degree in Transportation Engineering from Southeast University. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a postdoc research fellow in NUS. From 2012 to 2015, he was a lecturer in Monash University Australia, where he also served as the director of the Master of Transportation Systems Program.


Dr. Liu’s research areas include Transport Network Modelling, Public Transport, Intelligent Transport System, Logistics Systems, Traffic Safety and Control. In this areas, Dr. Liu has published over 100 papers, 40 of which are at the top SCI/SSCI journals, including Transportation Research (Part A to E), Transpormetrica, Accident Analysis and Prevention, etc. As the leading PI, he has secured more than 10 research projects, including the National Science Foundation funded projects.
